Mitch spent 34 years in the cockpit and acquired over 13,000 hours of flight time flying worldwide. Over 9000 hours of his experience is in Challenger and Gulfstream aircraft, the remaining flight time divided between King Air’s and Bell helicopters. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and has participated in postgraduate studies in Aviation Safety. He is an experienced safety officer and was also an IS-BAO project manager for a fortune 500 flight department. He has a passion for instructing and he joined Dave Stohr and the Air Training International team in early 2012. He has presented on Safety and Operations topics at the NBAA International Operators Conference, the Canadian Business Aviation Association Convention and the International Society of Safety Professionals Conference. He is currently on the NBAA International Operators Committee and serves as the North Atlantic Regional Lead.
On 1 January of 2018, 30 West IP will be launched as a spin-off from ATI. Dave Stohr and ATI continue to offer training online via website modules while 30 West IP provides live instructor led training. Dave and Mitch will continue to collaborate and Terry Giasson continues to coordinate with the clients and schedule training for both companies.
Terry brings an expertise in superb Client Support. For the last 15 years she has worked as a Client Support Representative responsible for both ATI and 30 West IP providing numerous fortune 100 corporate flight departments with training support. Terry’s customer support skills married with a thorough understanding of corporate flight department’s operational training needs, provides 30 West IP with an invaluable link to the departments we serve.
Dorothy Launius is Mitch’s wife, and business partner. Dorothy will be the one to call for account management, billing and completion certificates. She has worked in both the travel industry, and finance with extensive experience in customer support.
